Project will help FHSU students dress for success
Students at Fort Hays State University soon will have a new resource to help them dress for success.
Tailored for Tigers, an initiative started by graduate student Felix Albl and Scott Jones, instructor of business education, still is in the planning stages but is now accepting donations of men’s and women’s professional clothing that students will be able to rent for job interviews, presentations or other occasions.

The need for the professional dress closet became apparent to Albl after he did a survey of presenters at an FHSU career fair. The survey was part of an undergraduate project he worked on to create posters for high schools comparing professional dress and business casual dress.
Originally from Germany, Albl received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from FHSU last spring. He’s pursuing an MBA with a concentration in marketing and sports management.
“I did an interview at the career fair, and the feedback we got wasn’t the best in terms of how students dressed,” he said.
The fair was in a gymnasium setting, and appointments were not needed, so students might have had a more casual attitude toward the career fair, Albl said.
“But it’s still kind of a concern,” he said.
Students also sometimes need professional clothing for class presentations or events such as an etiquette dinner last semester that gave students a chance to meet with community business leaders and practice networking and dining etiquette.
“We don’t want students missing out on opportunities just because they don’t have clothing in town, or it’s something they can’t afford at this point in their life. That’s the main goal behind all this is to give every student the same opportunity,” Albl said.
A second goal of Tailored for Tigers is to help students learn professional “soft skills,” such as networking, pitching business ideas and social media use.
Albl and Jones plan to work with other campus entities such as Jana’s Closet, Collegiate DECA and Career Services on their initiatives.
“We’re trying to supplement and not duplicate,” Jones said.
Albl said he thinks the educational aspect of the project will differentiate it from similar offerings.
“We’re not the first to bring a professional dress closet to campus, but putting those educational initiatives in, I do think that we are becoming somewhat of a model for other schools that want to bring this to their campus as well,” he said.
Albl and Jones started on the project in November and got a boost when Deborah Ludwig, dean of Forsyth Library, offered space for them to use in December.
The library already offers a space for a food pantry, Ludwig said, and Albl’s enthusiasm for the project was catching. She said her husband already has donated several suits.
“Here’s another need that students have, and we happened to have some space we could give them,” she said.
The basement location originally was where new books were brought into the library and sorted. It most recently was used to store instruments and other equipment while the band room in Malloy Hall was renovated.
Albl said he hopes the “store” in the library will be open for students by March. A small rental fee will cover the cost of cleaning the clothing.
The project is so far proceeding with no budget. Plans are to operate it as a non-profit, but Albl said the project is not yet at the stage where they can secure funding or accept monetary donations.
Clothing donations can be made at a station with a clothing rack near the west entrance of Malloy Hall, and Albl said he would like to work with Big Creek Crossing to have a donation drive. In addition, Couture for Men and Women, 1109 and 1111 Main, offers a 30-percent discount on a new suit if an old suit is brought in to donate to Tailored for Tigers.

Director Namrata Singh Gujral
Nargis Fakhri, who just returned to Mumbai after a few months at home in New York, will soon fly back to the US to join Golden Globe nominee and supermodel Bo Derek, and Oscar nominee Candy Clark (American Graffiti and The Man Who Fell To Earth).
She is part shoot for a slice-of-life comedy, 5 Weddings, helmed by filmmaker and cancer advocate Namrata Singh Gujral.
The story follows an American journalist, who travels to India for what she thinks will be an easy magazine feature on Bollywood weddings. As the coverage unfolds, so does a colourful mosaic of lost loves, transgender tangles and culture clashes.

Herself an Indian-American actress, Gujral has appeared in Denzel Washington-starrer Training Day (2001). However, you may remember her as Renu Mathur in Sanjay Dutt-starrer Kaante (2002), as Shelley in Beau Bridges-starrer Americanizing Shelley, as Nurse Kathy from American TV show Passions, as Saira Ahmed from Family Show, and Anna Kraus in 1979 action film, The Shark Hunter.
Related: royal blue bridesmaid dresses
For Gujral, also a co-producer, the film is a multitude of promises made right. “The first was to Yash Chopra, who ran a fantastic panel called FICCI in Mumbai, where I was an invited guest speaker on global co-productions in 2008 with fellow panelist Cameron Bailey from TIFF. One night, Cameron and I were returning to the hotel after a party in Juhu, and Mr Chopra was in the lobby. He congratulated Cameron on TIFF and then congratulated me on Americanizing Shelley. I was shocked that he knew about it. He said he was a fan of romantic movies, so I said I’d love to produce one with him. He smiled and asked “Promise?” No telling if he was kidding! But I never got to find out...”
On the same trip, Dev Anand requested a meeting with Gujral. “It lasted three hours and explored various angles to make a contemporary version of Hare Rama Hare Krishna. His love for East-meets-West [movies] was eerily similar to mine. But, within three months of returning stateside, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Life took a major detour,” recounts Gujral.
After chemotherapy and going into remission, Gujral decided to pursue the cancer-inspired film 1 a Minute with Olivia Newton-John, Deepak Chopra while putting other projects on hold. “Sadly, by the time we got done with its global release, both Mr Anand and Mr Chopra had passed away within a year of each other.”
Then, there was another brush with death, as Gujral was diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer in 2013. Given three weeks to live, she was sent to a medical centre in California, for six months. “Lying in bed after intra-thecal chemo to my spine, where you can’t move for hours, I promised myself that if I ever made it out, I would honour the two filmmakers. Shania in 5 Weddings is a little bit Jennifer from Hare Rama Hare Krishna, a little bit Simran from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and of course a whole lotta Nargis.”
Gujral’s film also upholds a promise made to a member of India’s hijra community during a meeting in 2014 outside Tata Memorial Hospital, where shel launched Finding Match: The Cancer MoonShot Story featuring US Vice Prez Joe Biden and Congresswoman Priya Dutt. The film is being shot in nine parts of the world, and focuses on the challenges that these communities face in finding bone marrow and organ matches. Excerpts from an exclusive interview with the US-based filmmaker:
On life before turning director
It was an innocent life, because that was before breast cancer and blood cancer. I was an actress in Hollywood, doing pretty well and spending my days thinking about how not to age when I wasn’t on set. After my journey with cancer, which started almost 10 years ago, I am shelled out of innocence into an abyss of wisdom, truth and oddly a strange tranquility.
On similarities with Four Weddings And A Funeral
Both have similar pacing and tone; the similarity ends there.
On casting Nargis Fakhri
We considered some fabulous Hollywood actresses for this role. Then, a casting assistant brought up Nargis. I knew I had found Shania right away when I saw her work. She is sweet and funny. She has also had a tough life herself. So, we connect on many levels.
On expectations from her film
Anyone in the world who has lost a loved one to death, especially a parent, will find the film almost healing. Apart from death, there is birth, life, weddings and, of course, love and acceptance as part of the narrative.
On being a woman filmmaker
Three years ago, I was given three years to live. ‘Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Eha’ from the Guru Granth Sahib became my mantra. So, when you beat two aggressive cancers, it’s hard to say anything else is a challenge. But yes, I find it fascinating that even in Hollywood, the supposed Mecca of progressive thought, women directors are a definite minority. There is a line in 5 Weddings which says that for things to change, you can change laws, but it’s ultimately the people who have to change. I think that holds true for anything.

Highlights from Bridal Fashion Week
From fairy tale princess gowns to feathery mini-dresses, bold skinny trouser looks and showgirl sequins, the recent Bridal Fashion Week had something for brides of every size, shape and style inclination.
White reigned, as did classic silhouettes to please the most traditional bride. For everybody else, there were splashes of color, plenty of fluttery floral applique and sparkle, sparkle, sparkle.
Highlights from the Spring 2017 collections:
CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FOR KLEINFELD
After a smaller, capsule collection for the famed bridal shop, Siriano teamed with Kleinfeld again on a broader range.

Source: bridal dresses
His show stopper was a pricey pink ombre ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and skinny straps. As an evening wear designer, Siriano said bridal was a natural fit. He created in a range of sizes up to 24 or 26 - and a range of price points from about $3,500 to about $19,000.
Siriano also offered a range of hem lengths, from well above the knee in an appliqued mini to a fitted tea length with an ornate high neck and dramatic train.
In a backstage interview, Siriano said he's enjoying his first full push into bridal with the 27 pieces for Kleinfeld after focusing most of the time on evening.
"But the customer is so different," he said. "There's not as many rules. You can get away with trying new things, doing new things. It's a little fantasy dream world."
INES DI SANTO
This was a sexy runway dominated by sheers holding lots of floral creations in place. Romance meets sensuality is how the Toronto-based designer likes it.
While many of her looks were fit for royalty, complete with extra-long trains, she also ventured into over-the-top. An ultra-short hem with just one long lace sleeve had tulle skirting that skimmed the floor in back and leggings mismatched with floral embellishment, offering the appearance of one bare and one covered.
Spring itself was her inspiration this time around.
"The flowers, the garden, the beautiful trees, the sky, the sun," Di Santo said in an interview.
There were other vibes, in a sleeveless illusion Palazzo romper, for instance, with an encrusted bodice and dramatic detachable bell sleeves.
"I went very soft, romantic. You can see through the layers of the lace, the legs, the tulle," she said.
Like other designers, Di Santo included fit-and-flare looks along with sheaths, A-line silhouettes, halter necks and princess ball gowns.
OSCAR DE LA RENTA
Designer Peter Copping is making his mark gradually at the storied Oscar de la Renta label, with a mind toward both preserving his predecessor's legacy and modernizing the label in his own way. In his bridal collection, Copping included some looser shapes - not everything was cinched tightly at the waist, princess-style - and even some short bridal gowns.
"I was thinking of the different women who are brides and the different ways women can get married," Copping said in a post-show interview, "because it's not always the same rules or traditions that people are looking for. So I think it's important within the collection to have a good cross-section of dresses, some short, some big columns, a real mix of fabrics."
Indeed, some of the gowns featured the sumptuous, extravagant embroidery for which the house is justly famous, and others featured much subtler embroidery for a more modern look.
"I think it was really just having a complete range of dresses," Copping said. The most striking were two short numbers, a nod to the popularity (and danceability) of shorter lengths, even if you can afford the big princess gown. "Yes I think it's popular," Copping said of the shorter length, "and I also think it's very relevant for rehearsal dinners, where a woman can still feel bridal the night before."
REEM ACRA
For a bride looking to be just a bit daring, visible boning in corseting lent a uniqueness to some of Acra's fitted bodices.
There was an abundance of drama in ultra-long trains and encrusted sheer overlays. And Acra, too, offered a variety of sleeve options, including a web design on a snug pair that ended just above the elbow. The design, almost twig-like, was carried through to the rest of the full-skirted look.
Many of her dress tops were molded at the chest, bustier style, while she played with the lower halves. And some of her silhouettes fit tightly across the rear, sprouting trains where some brides may not feel entirely comfortable sporting one.

Princess Kate's Bathrobe Revealed
What do you give the royal who has everything? A gorgeous dressing gown that's fit for a princess – with the embroidery to prove it!
Although the royal mom of two was formally titled the Duchess of Cambridge on her wedding day – and colloquially-called Princess Kate by fans and PEOPLE alike – it's the "princess" title that is displayed on the inside of her luxe wedding gift gown.
The gorgeously-embroidered name tag, "Princess Catherine," is revealed in the His and Hers bespoke silk-lined cashmere dressing gowns – navy blue forPrince William and white for Kate – that were made for the couple by Nottingham, England, designer Daniel Hanson on their royal wedding day in 2011.

Hanson, and his small band of 12 employees, who also have also made cheap wedding dresses worn by singer Elton John and movie stars Brad Pitt, Halle Berry and Meg Ryan, were asked to create the stunning garments by royal household suppliers Turnbull and Asser as a wedding gift.
"Because they were presents, the decision about what to use inside had to be made before the wedding. Their titles weren't disclosed until the wedding, so we had to speculate on what she would be called," designer and owner Daniel Hanson tells PEOPLE. (The chatter about what Kate should be called has caused some lively debate.)
"We were very proud as a company to be commissioned by Turnbull and Asser to make them," he continues.
The discreet designer wouldn't reveal too much more about the royal order, including the exact cost. But the top of the range (heavily embroidered versions) can cost as much as $11,100, but William and Kate's robes are not thought to cost as much since they have relatively little embroidery.
That said, any garment with "Prince William" and "Princess Catherine" stitched inside is likely to have a high value.
What is certain is that the silk-lined cashmere gowns are warm and cozy. "It is a totally seasonless product," Hanson tells PEOPLE. "If you wear cashmere against your skin, you will cook, but if you wear cashmere with a silk lining, it will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter."
"The joy of this is that silk against your skin won't heat you up beyond room temperature. Whereas, if you brought an egg to the boil, for example, and wrapped it in cashmere, such is the insulation properties, you could hard boil it."
Each dressing gown likely starts around $3,200, rising to around $4,160 for a bespoke creation. "A dressing gown worth [$3,000 to $4,000] is for a specific kind of shopper," Hanson says. "It is for someone who has got everything and wants a little bit more."
The highest priced products – at more than $11,000 – are those that are heavily embroidered, and are sent to India fir for about 250 hours of detailed decorative stitching.
"There is exquisite embroidery in India. There is still a culture there where people work with their hands," adds Hanson.

Inside Veuve Clicquot's Miami Carnaval With Ciara
Believe it or not, there exists a place where people don’t care about fashion week or “Fall 2016″ and it’s called Miami Beach. Here, far beyond the walls of Milk Studios, the tides turned, the mojitos flowed, and the crowds shamelessly popped their polo shirt collars with abandon while the rest of the fashion establishment shivered in between shows and presentations.
Ciara and models Nina Agdal and Chanel Iman were among those who fled New York this past weekend for Veuve Clicquot’s annual “Carnaval” — a VIP version of the legendary Brazilian parade and alcohol and food binge-fest that takes place every year before Lent. Veuve Clicquot staged the far more sedate powwow to pour out its newest iced Champagne: “Rich.”

Source: bridesmaid dresses online
For the occasion, Museum Park, located in theMiami mainland but a 15-minute drive from South Beach, was colonized by winged women on swings, fancy food trucks, and makeup artists and hairstylists offering guests the flashy eyeshadow and braids that you might find on Rihanna. Attendees traded traditional carnival masks and costumes for their own extravagant displays of tropical swagger, including sky-high espadrille wedges and every print under the sun, literally. Finally, the highlight of the day was a salsa performance featuring gyrating dancers in beaded bathing suits and feathered crowns, who were followed around by a whizzing camera drone. Those hoping for a more authentic carnival experience would have found it nearby at the Pérez Art Museum exhibit of the Dominican artist Firelei Báez, who deals with black culture and Caribbean themes in his work.
Agdal, Iman, and Ciara had all never experienced a carnival of any kind before, and seemed utterly disinterested when informed of the event’s cultural significance. But what about indulging in guilty pleasures? Everyone can get behind that.
“After fashion week I like to have a burger and a beer,” said Agdal, who as a devotee of Tone House, one of New York’s most challenging workout classes, can easily afford such indulgences when she pleases. Iman, who ran out of clothes and was dressed in something she bought from her hotel lobby, said she wears sweatpants when no one is watching. Gabrielle Union was also around, but as the wife of Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade, presumably, she didn’t travel far.
Ciara, however, is not one to over-indulge. She is one of the most poised celebrities working, offering catnip quotes to red carpet interviewers that in the moment sound like gold – she is also one of the friendliest celebrities – but that actually reveal little upon closer inspection. For example, she admitted to not drinking water before red carpet events, like at the Grammys, where she wore a fitted dress with a slit up to her hipbone. Instead, she offered her guilty pleasure is food, bread in particular.
Even during fashion week, where she performed at a party for Keds and attended the Coach and Polo Ralph Lauren shows, she maintains a schedule of calculated moderation. “If you do too much, you feel like you’re working, rather than enjoying fashion,” she said. In other words, not even a Champagne-sponsored carnival was going to throw her off her game.
The only question that threw her was this: “Do you ever go to events with the intent to blend in with the crowd? To just enjoy yourself?” She immediately geared up for a positive response, but came up short. She whipped around to her assistants, repeating the question. They didn’t have an answer either.
Post-fashion week, times like these can be hard to remember.

Vacation life
Resort season is no longer a luxury reserved for the uber-rich.
These days, you can book an exotic vacation to a warm-weather destination without draining your savings account — with enough advance planning and the assistance of a few promo codes — which means you don’t have to have Trump-level earnings to escape the winter doldrums.
Whether the final destination is Maui, Majorca or even Madrid, if there is one thing every style-conscious traveller does before jetting off on a hot holiday it’s a little advance outfit planning. And often times, this planning leads to a little bit (or a lot) of resort-wear shopping.
So, what do you want to pack to ensure you’re at the fashion forefront (or is it beachfront?) in 2016? According to Michael Anderson, senior vice-president of women’s and men’s design at Banana Republic, it’s all about having fun with fashion.
“Warm or cold, seasonal style is about versatility and having fun with your wardrobe,” Anderson says. “The bright summer months give us even more license to play with richer textures, vibrant colours, prints and modern silhouettes.”

Anderson anticipates seeing resorts and beaches filled with stylish vacationers in an entire spectrum of blues — from light, summer sky-inspired shades to colours he calls, “electrifying.”
The American retailer’s latest collection is full of the azure hues — many of which were inspired by the North African country of Morocco.
“The region’s culture and natural wonders ignited the collection’s blend of vibrant colours, bold prints and strong silhouettes,” Anderson says. “The design team drew inspiration from handmade rugs exploding with saturated colours, and travelled camelback along the Berber Trail and palm groves to experience the many shades of a desert sunset before visiting the remote mountain village of Chefchaouen — painted entirely in an electrifying blue.”
The inspiration translates from sketch pads to standing racks in stores in the form of luxe, wide-legged trousers, delicate eyelet blouses and geometric details.
And the cultural inspiration doesn’t stop with the Banana Republic design team. It’s also what shoppers are looking to when choosing their vacation style, according to local retailers.
“Resort wear is not so much about lounging by the pool and hanging out on a yacht as it is about exploring, integrating into and experiencing different cultures,” Paul Giesbrecht, owner of the West Vancouver-based boutique Leslie Jane, says.
“Vancouverites … want garments made with integrity and suited to this ethos.”
His boutique has been a local destination for womenswear and accessories from Canadian and international designers including Manuelle Guibal from France, La Bottega di Brunella from Italy and Johnny Was from the U.S., for more than 38 years. Giesbrecht says shoppers regularly come in looking for pieces that have versatility.
“We find that Vancouverites are looking for resort wear that is unique, easy to wear and that can be worn in a variety of ways — on the beach, at the park, at celebrations such as weddings, as well as in their everyday lives,” he says. “ People are looking for investment pieces with versatility that can extend and incorporate into their existing wardrobes.”
According to Giesbrecht, the demand for multi-purpose pieces has less to do with packing space and more to do with economy.
“The frivolity of ‘glamorous’ resort wear is not so relevant in these times,” he says. “With baby boomers retiring and cheaper travel the norm resortwear is as much about fashion as it is about comfort and function.”
A good place to start when it comes to beach-appropriate pieces are vintage inspired bridesmaid dresses, which can be used just as easily for bathing suit coverups as daytime outfits.
“Dresses double as beach cover-ups by day, or effortless evening looks by night,” Anderson says. “Don’t forget to bring at least one statement piece that will stand out, such as sheer lace culottes that are instantly Instagram-able with a picturesque background.”
(Because if your vacation outfits aren’t shared on social media, did your holiday even happen at all?)
Perhaps the most photo-friendly resort wear (and the most on-trend) are ones with lots of colour. Skip the basic black or white pieces in favour of cool aqua, lovely lavenders, and juicy citrus hues including lime green and lemon yellow — and, of course, the aforementioned azure.
“Resort wear dressing is about hot weather garments and colours that are attractive in southern light,” Giesbrecht says. “ The colours are brighter (and) the styling is looser.”
Basically, stick the items in your suitcase that you’d feel a tad out of place wearing at home because they are too relaxed, colourful or cropped — ergo not at all safe for work.
When it comes to accessories, it’s all about the fringe.
“We love fringe on our accessories this season, especially in our heels and jewelry,” Anderson says. “We also had fun including cool and metallic tones, big blooms, and embellishment to our entire accessories line.”
For textiles, linen garments are always a safe choice for sunny holiday destinations, with styles ranging from plus size bridesmaid dresses australia and wide-legged trousers, to slightly structured, more formal pieces.
“A linen blazer is my summer go-to for both ease and polish,” Anderson says.
Not a fan of linen? Consider a garment in another natural fibre such as cotton or silk for increased breathability on those sultry nights.
Whatever you do, don’t think a swimsuit and sandals will carry you (sartorially speaking) through your haute holiday.
According to Giesbrecht, when it comes to vacation dressing, you shouldn’t leave your style at home.
“It really varies depending on destination, but I think regardless of where people are heading they need something more than a bathing suit,” he says. “ I would tell people to consider what they are wearing over their bathing suits — to and from the pool — what they are wearing out to dinner, or when walking around the city or town.”

Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton
Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton didn't unbox their issues this Christmas.
Despite smiling and posing for a photo with their mutual friend Faye Resnick at the annual Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Eve party Thursday night, E! News has learned the two sisters are continuing to ice each other out amid months of turmoil. "The photo was staged. Notice they're not even standing next to each other. It was an attempt to make everything look better than it actually is, but things are not smoothed over," a source says of Kyle, 46, and Kathy, 56. "They only saw each other briefly at the party."

Images: bridesmaid dresses online
Faye happened to be caught in the middle literally, not figuratively. While she is friends with both siblings, the source explains that she is "much closer to Kyle."
Meanwhile, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards, 51, is on good terms with her sister Kathy as her ever-fragile relationship with Kyle appears to be at a standstill. "Kathy and Kim are fine," the source tells E! News. "Kathy had Kim and her children over for Christmas this weekend, but not Kyle or her family." Posing with her own children, Kim shared an Instagram photo of her "amazing, beautiful family" celebrating inside Kathy and Rick Hilton's home.
Kyle and Kathy's drama dates back to June, when Kyle was disinvited then re-invited to her niece Nicky Hilton's wedding to banking heir James Rothschild. While Kathy has not publicly explained her side of the story, Kyle has said on episodes of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that Kathy was upset about a deal she made with TV Land to produce a sitcom inspired by her childhood. "As mother of the bride, Kathy had a major say on the guest list. Nicky initially invited Kyle, but then Kathy called and uninvited her. She literally told her not to show up. But Kyle insisted that if Farrah, her oldest daughter, was a bridesmaid and Portia, her youngest, was a flower girl then she should be there," the source tells E! News. "Kathy relented but still said Kyle's other two daughters and Mauricio [Umansky] were not welcome." After some debate on Kyle's part, she decided to attend the wedding with Farrah and Portia.
There were other issues at play, though.
Years ago, Mauricio left Hilton & Ryland, Rick's real estate company, to start The Agency. "Kathy and Rick have no contact or relationship with Mauricio," the source says. "Rick and Mauricio haven't spoken in about five years." So, what happened? As one insider previously told E! News, "Rick and his team wouldn't make Mauricio a partner, even after years of working there and a lot of success. So he left. Now, Mauricio is not welcome at any Hilton events. It puts Kyle in a terrible position because she always has to choose between her husband and her older sister." Another insider offered a different take, saying, "Mauricio went behind Rick's back when he started his business. Rick did everything for Mauricio to get him started, he gave him clients, he introduced him to people. And then when Mauricio set up his own company, he did it covertly and informed Rick via email."
Many have tried to bring the families back together, including Faye. In fact, she went so far as to ask both Mauricio and Rick to walk her down the aisle at her wedding in October. Says the source, "Talk about awkward!"

Ministry issues executive rules for beauty sector
The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has issued executive rules for the women’s beauty sector, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
A source from the ministry said the ministry was encouraging beauty services to create employment opportunities for women.
“The executive rules will regulate the beauty sector in the Kingdom and encourage women to start their own businesses and employ other women as well. The ministry cares about the health and safety of both service providers or consumers,” said the source.

Pictures: wedding dresses with straps
The source said the ministry also insisted that beauty centers should be run conforming to the values of Saudi society.
“The beauty services must be offered in a store licensed for the purpose. The business owner cannot offer beauty services outside the store. All employees offering the service must have a health certificate stamped by the local municipality declaring they are free from infectious diseases,” said the source.
He said all beauty and makeup products must match the standards and regulations of the Saudi Food and Drugs Authority. All beauty salons and stores must have sanitizers available for the employees and customers to use, he added.
The source also said customers should know the difference between a beauty salon and a clinic.
“Beauty salons are not permitted to offer any medical services, including plastic surgery or hair removals using laser technology. The employees at these salons are not health practitioners and may not have undergone any training to deal with the human body,” said the source.
The source said the ministry will cooperate with the Ministry of Interior and the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice to run frequent inspection campaigns on stores offering beauty services.

Inspired Bespoke Boho Bridal Line Dreamers
Like many fashion fairytales, the story of Dreamers & Lovers began with the journey of a woman on the hunt for The One. Founded by designer Yanique Barnes, the local bridal label was born from her BFF's wild goose chase of finding the perfect budget-friendly bohemian wedding gown.
"After searching for a wedding dress for my best friend, I found out how traditional and ultra expensive the wedding dress market was," says Barnes. "It did not feel right, and it was frustrating. Not long after, I had the itch to become an entrepreneur."
Three years after leaving her post as a manager at a Chanel boutique, the bridal designer crafts "heirloom quality fabrics all with a yesteryear feel" for brides yearning to think outside of the wallet-busting department store box. Think lacy, Victorian-inspired numbers fit for a modern-day indie bride; plus size bridesmaid dresses - sheindressau.com range from $615 for a '50s-inspired knee-length lace dress to $1,288 for a jaw-dropping floral embroidered gown with a semi-cathedral train to $1,980 for an Art Deco-inspired, pearl-bedecked dress.
We got to know bridesmaid-turned-designer Barnes and discovered what inspired her to create the line, her design muses, her best advice for brides-to-be, and more.

When did you create the brand?
Dreamers & Lovers was started in summer 2012. It started in my garage, where clients would come by to try on dresses, and get fitted. We have advanced past this phase, and now have our showroom/studio located in Torrance.
What's the Dreamers & Lovers experience like?
We make all of our dresses to the bride's exact measurements, and brides have the option to tweak the design, so if a dress has a cap sleeve, long sleeves could be added, etc. Once the dress is ready, brides have the option of picking it up in the studio, and if alterations are needed we assist with that also at no additional cost. We do not sell to bridal shops, as our clients love our concept of keeping the navy blue bridesmaid dresses affordable, while still being custom made.
/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/5231555/dreamers-lovers-bridal-03_2015_12.0.jpg)
What were you doing before founding Dreamers & Lovers?
I had been working as a manager for the Chanel boutique on Robertson Boulevard, and on the side was running a successful vintage business on eBay. I resigned from Chanel and kept on selling vintage clothing. It was amazing how many clients were purchasing lace caftans, and other ready-to-wear dresses from my vintage collection to use as their wedding dress. This was my a-ha moment. It was a sign, and Dreamers & Lovers was born.
Who are your design muses?
I am inspired by the women we create for. Our brides are different. They are creatives, independent, they believe in breaking from tradition, and they are comfortable in their own skin. They inspire and challenge me to create meaningful designs to celebrate their love, on one of the most special day of their lives.
From a designer perspective, the house of Chanel is always an inspiration for me. I love that the quality and fit is always at the forefront, and while their designs innovate, they tend to stick to the classics. Chanel jackets from 10 years ago still have a similar silhouette as the one being sold this season. This is how I approach the Dreamers & Lovers line—I like to design pieces that a woman will love 20 years from now. It would be awful to look back on your wedding photos, and wonder, "What was I thinking?"
What's your best advice for brides hunting for wedding dresses?
While it is great to get inspired by photos on Pinterest, it is best to be open-minded and try on a few different styles. What you initially liked may not be the best silhouette for you.

5 Easy Fashion Trends Girls Need To Master This Fall
Ladies, fall is here and it’s the time of the year where we all kind of struggle to find the right trends. Fall in Montreal gets quite intense, but I’m here to save your fashion season this year with a few options and tips for you to apply.
Let me show you a few cheap ways to get real cozy & trendy this fall in Montreal:

Business Casual
Business casual is the best way to be trendy with a touch of professionalism this fall. It’s not complicated to put all together and it’s quite cheap if the pieces are found at the right spots. Hop in the subway and head downtown towards H&M, Simons or Zara for easy pick ups.
Cheap & prefered pieces – White long sleeve shirt, cardigan and black skinny trousers.
Tip – You can keep the cardigan open on top to show your shirt’s collar. It’s a nice little touch and adds professionalism. High boots are also a great add-on.

Fashionista
We have tons of fashionistas in this city. For most of these young montrealers, it’s hard to keep up to date with how much fashion actually costs. The fashionista is most seen running the arts scene of his/her city and vintage wedding gowns between designer and common brands.
Cheap & prefered pieces – Long sleeved jersey at H&M, Zara black sweats or ripped H&M black jeans, black boots found anywhere in Montreal.
Tips – Distressed clothing is the best kind of clothing. Don’t be shy to wear oversized sweaters or shirts, if it mixes with your outfit properly, it’s probably nice.

Preppy
Preppy should feel very close to business casual. However, being a real preppy girl requires a nice touch of “school mixed with business“. The skirt is always a great option if you are trying to fully reach the preppy zone.
Cheap & prefered pieces – Skirt and cute little boots are a thumbs up. A nice mix of colors or all black is a great path to take as well.
Tips – Getting the right preppy look often comes down to being very structural in its clothing choice. Tight cuts, always. Give your outfit a clean structure.

Street Style
My personal favorite. A mix of fashionistas, but with a street touch to it all. If you are an individual who travels through the city from meetings to meetings, projects to projects you’ll enjoy this trend.
Cheap & prefered pieces – Jeans jacket, black high top boots, black skinny jeans and insane sneakers.
Tips – Street style is all about mixing styles. Use your knowledge of preppy/business casual vibe and mix it with a bit of trashness to get the right street style look. Also, please make sure you have proper sneakers if you are about to run the streets !

Sporty
Sports wear is great when properly applied during fall season. It is one of the coolest and most comfortable style you can have in your wardrobe.
Cheap & prefered pieces – Well cut black hoodie, long coat (H&M, Zara & Simons for cheap), warm black leggings, beige boots (yes, like the ones Drake is wearing in Hot Line Bling).
Tips – My suggestion to you is to keep it all under one color. If you go for a black hoodie, go for black sneakers and black leggings. It’ll look pretty darn good !
